DIY Polymer Clay Easter Treats

NOTES:

  • To fit inside the Easter basket, keep your clay chocolate bunny under approximately 1.25″‘.
  • Keep Easter eggs under approximately .25″.
  • Polymer clay needs to be kneaded between your fingers to soften before shaping. Although it may look shiny after sculpting, it will become matte after baking.
  • If you’re new to working with polymer clay, remember to have fun – simpler is often better!

SUPPLIES:

This was so much fun to create these little clay Easter treats! It’s been a long time since I cracked out the polymer clay, and although I was pretty rusty, it was still so much fun!

Chocolate Easter Bunny

I started by making a small ball (approximately .5 teaspoon of clay). After kneading the clay, I started shaping a very basic body, head and ears. Simpler really seemed to work better!

Begin adding some details – use your clay tools to shape the ear and define the legs. You could flatten the bottom so the bunny can stand upright.

Make a curved line to define the head, and add an eye. The clay will become matte after baking.

Easter eggs

The Easter eggs are super quick to make – I rolled a tiny ball of clay between my fingers, then created a gently point to create the egg shape.
