Fable Baby Dress Crochet Pattern

If your Fable Babies are ready for something special to wear, this doll-sized crochet dress is a quick and easy make that you’ll love for its simplicity and versatility. It works up fast, and looks adorable in any colour! The dress is also removable, making it perfect for encouraging play for little ones.

This tiny dress was originally designed for the Baby Jolene Kitty crochet pattern. The original Jolene Kitty was actually my first Fable Collection animal design. She has evolved over the years, starting with a classic worsted weight version, then the plush version, and now the baby plush version you see here. She is such a special design to me – plus her head has a unique shape (my Mabel Chicken Crochet Pattern is actually modelled after her!)

The Fable Baby patterns are the baby versions of the original plush Fable Collection animals. They are perfect for tiny hands and quick market makes – and like the originals, they also have removable and interchangeable clothing and accessories to encourage play and imagination.

The patterns are available individually, or as a Fable Baby Mod pattern – this is a companion for your original Fable patterns, allowing you to make each one of them into their corresponding baby versions!

SUPPLIES:

NOTES:

  • This dress will fit all of the baby sized animals in the Fable Collection.
  • The dress is worked from top to bottom, starting in rows to create an opening at the back so it can easily slip on. The main part of the dress is crocheted in rounds. A collar will be added afterward to create arm holes and ties to close at the back.
  • It is recommended to use the same size hook, brand of yarn, and crochet method for both your Fable Baby animal and dress. This will ensure a proper fit and consistent look.
