Fable Collection Pattern Roundup

The Fable Collection crochet patterns have expanded over time. The series now includes a number of different animals, all with interchangeable clothing and accessories. They’ve become a comfort make for many and a staple at markets and craft shows as well.

In this roundup, you’ll find all of the Fable Collection crochet patterns in one place! I’ve included information and links to the patterns, mods, accessories and blog freebies so you can mix and match pieces and easily find all the patterns and accessories available.

The first section covers all of the animals in the collection, and the second half will link to all of the Fable Freebies. You can jump to the freebies HERE.

There are so many animals in the series now, that I wasn’t able to fit them all into a photo – but here’s a group photo including some of my favourites!

Where It All Started

The Fable Collection is very special to me. The leggy doll-body design was actually inspired by my mom, who has been designing dolls and clothing my whole life. These designs reflect my own personal style and they truly feel like they capture a little piece of my childhood.

It all started when I redesigned two of my original patterns – Jolene Kitty and Beth Bunny (named after my nieces) in blanket yarn. These two were made with worsted weight yarn and had interchangeable clothing and accessories. The plan was to expand the collection, but they’d been put on the back burner for a while so I could focus on designing blanket yarn patterns. The new plush versions had a total redesign, while still honoring the style and feel of the originals.

LET’S MEET THE CREW!

Plush Jolene Kitty

Plush Jolene Kitty was the very first to be modified to the blanket yarn version. She has a unique look with her slightly different shaped head than the rest of the collection. She comes with a removable dress, a bloomers color change option, and a separate Mermaid Tail Mod pattern.

WHERE TO FIND IT: You can purchase Plush Jolene Kitty as a standalone pattern, or in a set that includes the original as well as the blanket yarn version HERE, or in a bundle that includes Beth Bunny and Brie Mouse.

Plush Beth Bunny

Beth Bunny was the second crochet pattern that I wanted to modify to a blanket yarn version. It was better to build her overalls right into the pattern as color changes, rather than have them removable since the blanket yarn is so bulky. She also includes a removable headband and the Mermaid Tail Mod pattern as well. Beth Bunny is still one of my favourite Fable animals – but I’m a HUGE bunny fan, so that’s no surprise!

Brie Mouse

Brie the ballet Mouse has been the most popular of all of the Fable animals. Her little ballet slippers and removable tutu are so much fun to make in different colors! Brie Mouse also includes the Mermaid Tail Mod pattern.

WHERE TO FIND IT: You can purchase the Brie Mouse pattern separately, or in a bundle that includes Jolene Kitty and Beth Bunny.

Wilder Fox (Woodland Edition)

Wilder Fox is part of the Woodland Edition. Wilder is actually inspired by one of my earlier worsted weight patterns called Forrest the Fox. Wilder comes a cowl, as well as a separate pattern that includes removable Fairy Wings and a little Mushroom.

WHERE TO FIND IT: You can purchase the Wilder Fox pattern separately, or in a Woodland Bundle that includes Fora Fawn and Finn Bear.

Marley Dog (Pets Edition)

Marley Dog is the sweetest little pup and the first of the Pets Edition in the Fable Collection. This pattern is packed with options – it includes instructions for Marley Dog with and without the patches, the pug mod, the removable vest, and a separate Bedtime Bundle pattern (robe and eye mask).

Tilly Cat (Pets Edition)

Tilly Cat is another of my personal favourite Fable Collection patterns. Just like the Marley Dog pattern, this one is full of different options and mods. Great for personalising your pet! This pattern includes instructions for Tilly Cat with three color options – classic, Calico and Siamese cat. Also included is a shawl for Tilly, and a separate Bedtime Bundle pattern (robe and eye mask).

Prim Bunny (Pets Edition)

Prim Bunny is different than the Beth Bunny pattern – she has floppy ears, rather than Beth’s upright ears. This pattern includes lots of color changes for different bunny breeds and colors. The pattern includes instructions for Prim Bunny with patches and the Dutch Bunny, the bloomers mod, her removable dress and flower, and a separate Bedtime Bundle pattern (robe and eye mask).

Millie Chicken is another well-loved member of the Fable family. It’s no surprise – apparently chickens are a THING (check out this Chicken Pattern Roundup post). The best part about Millie (other than those adorable little feet), are her friends! This crochet pattern includes modifications to make a rooster, duck and a mallard duck too!
